Job summary

Neuralink is seeking engineers to own the end-to-end surgical robot simulation, enabling brain-computer communication through a scalable sim framework. You will reproduce faults, automate verification, and ensure tests run on every commit, accelerating development with AI-assisted workflows.

You will build the full robot sim, test software/firmware against simulated hardware, and write automated integration tests.

Qualifications

• Strong Rust skills; Python for test tooling and analysis. Bazel experience is a plus.
• Real robotics / physics sim experience (MuJoCo, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or equivalent).
• Experience with async and concurrent systems, hardware interfaces, RPC, and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Build the full robot sim: dynamics, sensors, actuators, and product-stack interfaces.
• Test the real robot software and firmware against simulated hardware.
• Write automated sim tests: scenarios, regressions, fault injection, and coverage.
• Make runs deterministic, measurable, and cheap enough to run in CI.
• Reproduce hardware failures in sim to accelerate our test timelines.
• Talk to users, get feedback, and iterate fast.
