Job summary
Teradyne is seeking an experienced Reliability Design Engineer to join our team in North Reading, Massachusetts.
In this role, you will apply reliability engineering methods throughout product development and production ramp-up, focusing on robotics and automation systems and performing life testing for durability, repeatability, and identifying design changes that improve service life of electromechanical mechanisms exposed to repetitive motion and other operating stresses.
Qualifications
- Develop and execute accelerated life-test plans for robotics and automation systems.
- Analyze test and field data to identify reliability risks and failure mechanisms.
- HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing).
- Lead or contribute to DFMEA and design-for-reliability activities.
- Build reliability models and recommend improvements for life and availability.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, systems, quality and manufacturing teams.
- Proficient in statistical/reliability tools (Weibull++, BlockSim, Alta, Sherlock).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High energy with presentation and training abilities.
- Willing to travel ~10%.
