Job summary
Actalent in South Charleston, OH is seeking a Production Engineering Technician to drive process improvements, support automation and robotics, troubleshoot equipment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Electrical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
- Experience with robotics programming, teaching, and troubleshooting, or controls and PLC troubleshooting.
- Experience reading engineering drawings and performing dimensional inspection with calipers/micrometers.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime and support day-to-day operations.
- Optimize production processes to improve cycle times and throughput.
- Support automation systems, including robotics and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Assist programming, teaching, and troubleshooting of industrial robots used in welding and automated processes.
- Evaluate weld quality and implement corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis on production issues and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
