Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks an Industrial Automation Cell Programmer to design and commission robot cells on the factory floor. You will write ABB RAPID code and craft clean TwinCAT 3 Structured Text, integrating with EtherCAT devices and field sensors.

You will lead projects from development to production commissioning, troubleshooting faults, and validating interlocks to restore production quickly. Strong robotics and PLC skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ABB robot programming and commissioning with strong RAPID proficiency.
• Beckhoff controls and TwinCAT 3; PLC programming in Structured Text.
• EtherCAT configuration and troubleshooting across devices on the line.
• On-floor commissioning and troubleshooting of automation equipment.
• Electrical schematic reading and industrial controls troubleshooting.
• Automation sequencing, interlocks, fault handling, and recovery expertise.
• Experience moving projects from development to production commissioning.
• ABB RobotStudio and SafeMove preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program and commission ABB industrial robots end to end.
• Develop Beckhoff PLC applications (TwinCAT 3) with Structured Text.
• Integrate robots, PLCs, sensors, actuators, and auxiliary equipment into production-ready cells.
• Configure and troubleshoot EtherCAT networks and devices.
• Lead projects from development through production commissioning on the manufacturing floor.
• Design robust sequences, interlocks, fault handling, and recovery routines.
• Interpret electrical schematics to debug industrial control issues.
