Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer for Robotics Networking in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on architecture design, proof-of-concept development, network optimization, and system-level robotics integration for AMRs, drones, and humanoids.

Responsibilities include leading customer engagements, designing robotics Ethernet architectures, and delivering technical training. Strong C/C++ with ARM, TSN/EtherCAT expertise required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 10+ years in embedded systems development or applications support with networking, switch, or SoC platforms.
• Strong knowledge of robotics platforms (AMRs, drones, humanoids) and C/C++ on ARM MCUs.
• Experience with deterministic real-time Ethernet such as TSN and EtherCAT.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical customer engagements for robotics networking solutions.
• Design and support Ethernet-based robotic architectures (zonal/microzonal).
• Board bring-up, performance testing, and hands-on debugging.
• Support TSN, EtherCAT, BASE-T1, and PoDL deployments.
• Lead customer training through webinars and workshops.
