Job summary

Intuitive is hiring for a Multiport Test Engineer to enable manufacturing of next-gen surgical robots. You will develop automated, mechatronic-centric tests and diagnostic software to ensure calibration, performance, and safety of robot subsystems.

Collaborate with product development, systems, electrical, manufacturing, and QA teams to deliver a complete test strategy and automated software. The role requires 5+ years in hardware-oriented software, robotics experience, UI development, and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in hardware-oriented software development with a bachelor's degree (or 3 years with a master's degree).
Experience developing or testing robotic or electro-mechanical systems, including control systems and mechatronics.
Experience with design and development of Windows PC or Web user interfaces.
Proficient in object-oriented Python.
Entrepreneurial spirit and drives projects to completion.
Strong problem solving skills and excellent verbal and written communications.
Intellectually curious and passionate with high emotional intelligence and solid people skills.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of manufacturing test fixtures, software, and test system quality.
Develop a deep technical understanding of product operation, control and testing algorithms.
Design, document, and qualify systems and test software for use in manufacturing new robot subsystems.
Work independently to overcome roadblocks with minimum guidance.
Troubleshoot production line issues.
Improve the manufacturing test capability through new technology, software and analytics.
