Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, is seeking a Special Process Manufacturing Engineer for the Compression Systems Manufacturing Center in Middletown, CT. The role focuses on robotic special processes, including surface treatment with robotic arms, path programming, and process optimization to reduce costs and improve quality.

You will work closely with design, QA, and manufacturing teams to drive improvements, investigate root causes, and apply PFMEA/CPM tools to ensure robust process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering with relevant aerospace experience.
• Experience or education in robot programming and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
• Familiarity with shop environment and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct robotic troubleshooting and programming for special process on the shop floor.
• Program from 3D model to robot path for surface treatment processes.
• Identify and implement process optimization and control methods to reduce costs and scrap.
• Collaborate with designers, quality, and systems teams to improve first-pass yield.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming parts using statistical methods.
