Job summary

1X is building humanoid robots for home use and is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to scale manufacturing of hands and assemblies from prototype to production. You will own critical processes, drive quality, and collaborate across teams to meet aggressive throughput targets.

The role requires hands-on experience with CAD/DFM/DFA, GD&T, and process validation, and offers a competitive compensation package in a fast-growing robotics company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Hands‑on experience developing precision assembly processes from prototype through production and sustaining.
• Proficiency with CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, tooling/fixture design, DFM/DFA, and statistical process validation.

Responsibilities

• Build manufacturing systems that scale 1X robots from prototype to production.
• Own processes to improve yield, cycle time, and cost.
• Develop and release tooling, fixtures, gauges, and stations with validated processes.
