Job summary

Bracket Bot Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop assembly processes, fixtures, tests, and production methods for our robotic systems.

You’ll collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and operations teams to improve build repeatability, quality, and cost. This hands-on role involves building robots, investigating failures, and applying learnings to both the product and manufacturing methods, with emphasis on repeatable results and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have experience building or manufacturing electromechanical hardware.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and comfort working at the bench.
• Understanding of assembly processes, tolerances, fixtures, and quality control.
• Ability to turn failure data and observations into measurable process improvements.
• Clear documentation and collaboration across engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve robot assembly, inspection, and test processes.
• Design fixtures, jigs, and tools that make builds faster and more consistent.
• Work with engineering on design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Investigate production failures and variation, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Create clear work instructions, build records, and quality checks.
• Help introduce new revisions into production and keep process documentation aligned with the design.
• Work with operations and suppliers to resolve issues that affect build quality or readiness.
