Job summary

Machina Labs in Chatsworth, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Cell Technician / Operator to support our robotic manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role operating equipment, loading and positioning material, and maintaining high standards for safety, quality and delivery.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable around automated equipment, and works well with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing documentation.
• Comfort around automated machinery and robotics.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate manufacturing equipment and robotic systems.
• Load, position, align, and secure panels and components (aluminum/steel).
• Verify materials, tooling, and setups before production.
• Follow work instructions, routers, travelers, and SOPs.
• Monitor equipment and identify alarms or defects and escalate as needed.
• Perform basic adjustments and troubleshooting within training.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation for traceability.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Support 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement activities.
