Job summary

Boston Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Robustness Test Technician to join a compact, fast-moving team supporting engineering through hands-on integration, testing and debugging of complex robotic systems.

You will build, operate and validate electro-mechanical subsystems, help design test fixtures, and coordinate lab resources for rapid prototyping and evaluation. You will work across prototypes from small test rigs to fully integrated robots, manage multiple task threads, adapt to changing

• Hands-on experience building and debugging electro-mechanical test setups.
• Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
• Clear communication of test results and data.

Responsibilities

• Up to 50% time Lab Management: procuring and maintaining lab resources.
• Conducts initial build of complex prototype electromechanical sub-assemblies.
• Independently conducts design validation testing for new robot subsystems.
• Troubleshoots root causes of failures in sub-assemblies and robots.
• Creates test plans and procedures with minimal guidance.
