Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking an R&D Robotics Technician in Massachusetts to help build, test, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems for Stretch robotics projects. You will assemble prototype subsystems, conduct validation tests, and design fixtures using CAD tools such as Altium and Catia.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to evolving priorities, and collaborate with engineers to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and debugging electro-mechanical test setups.
• Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, programmable loads, thermal probes.
• Be able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities quickly.

Responsibilities

• Builds prototype electromechanical sub-assemblies for robotic systems.
• Independently performs design validation testing for new robot subsystems.
• Troubleshoots and identifies root causes of system failures in sub-assemblies and robots.
• Creates test plans and procedures with minimal guidance.
• Designs test fixtures or subsystems using CAD tools such as Altium and Catia.
• Plans lab equipment, spaces, and timelines with managers and engineers.
• Maintains and monitors long-running test-stand experiments and records results.
