Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical design within robotics or automation.
• Strong CAD proficiency: SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD.
• Experience prototyping, testing, and product validation.
• Hands-on experience in a workshop environment; travel up to 25% internationally.
• Experience mentoring technicians or junior engineers.
• Knowledge of DFM and DFA principles.
• Experience working in fast-paced product development or R&D.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for robotics and automation platforms.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Optimize designs for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Conduct mechanical simulations, validation activities, and testing.
• Support prototyping, evaluation, and design iteration across development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with electrical and software engineers for system integration.
• Serve as technical contact for technicians during fabrication and testing.
• Translate designs into clear work instructions and documentation.
• Provide hands-on guidance and troubleshooting during build and prototype phases.
• Review work to ensure quality and design intent.
• Establish best practices for assembly processes and tooling.
