Job summary

Apptronik is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead Hardware Integration for our humanoid robotics platform. You will guide a team responsible for bringing high-performance actuators and sensor suites into a cohesive system, bridging component design and the full platform.

The role requires leadership of multi-disciplinary engineers, hands-on prototyping, and a focus on integration quality, calibration, and testbed development to accelerate bring-up and product readiness.

Qualifications

• Leadership: 2+ years in direct management or technical lead role.
• Prototyping: hands-on rapid prototyping of hardware concepts.
• BoM management: experience handling complex bills of materials.
• Systems thinking: troubleshoot interfaces across mech/electrical/firmware.
• Communication: strong cross‑functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary hardware integration team.
• Direct rapid prototyping and derisking of electromechanical subsystems.
• Oversee hardware bring-up from bench to platform.
• Develop calibration schemes aligning physical assembly with models.
• Collaborate on Design for Integration to optimize modularity and reliability.
• Lead Hardware-in-the-Loop testbed development for rapid iteration.
• Own hardware configuration management and top-level BoM accuracy.
