Job summary

Becoming is hiring a Robotics Engineer (Product / Electrical) to design and own end-to-end hardware for the core platform. You will build complete systems—mechanical, electrical, and firmware—and take responsibility for their real‑world performance.

You’ll work across hardware domains with high agency, define requirements, tradeoffs, and drive reliability through multi‑board architectures, mixed‑signal design, and rigorous testing.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent demonstrated depth.
• Experience architecting and shipping custom PCB-based systems.
• Strong mixed-signal design capability (analog + digital).
• Experience bringing boards from design through bring-up and production iteration.
• Demonstrated ownership of hardware systems operating in real-world conditions.
• Functional fluency across mechanical and firmware domains.
• Ability to operate without rigid process scaffolding or pre-validated platforms.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of complex hardware platforms.
• Multi-layer PCB architecture and signal integrity considerations.
• Mixed-signal board design and low-noise sensing systems.
• Board bring-up and hardware debugging.
• Firmware for real-time control and fault tolerance.
• Mechanical integration with thermal, vibration, and environmental constraints.
• Failure analysis under continuous operation.
• Reliability engineering and stress testing.
• Engineering standards, documentation, and scalable build processes.
