Job summary

Generalist is seeking a Hardware Engineer to own electrical systems end-to-end, from concept to production. You will design sensing and motor-control electronics for robots, prototype sensor modules, and collaborate with mechanical and software teams to ship robust hardware.

The role includes firmware in C/C++/Rust, power delivery architectures, EMI/DFM compliance, and ramping designs to production with external partners as needed.

Qualifications

• Own electrical designs from concept to production.
• Design sensing and motor control electronics with low latency and high fidelity.
• Prototype sensor modules and motor controls; verify interfaces (e.g., MIPI).
• Write and debug firmware for microcontrollers/SoCs in C/C++/Rust.
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers on enclosure, thermal, and packaging.
• Drive designs to production with DFM/DFT and regulatory certification.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical designs end-to-end: concept, schematic, PCB, bring-up, production.
• Develop sensing and motor control electronics for robust robot systems.
• Prototype sensor modules, test, and iterate with firmware.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams on integration and performance.
• Ensure EMI, regulatory compliance, and production ramp.
