Onward Search in Massachusetts seeks a CAD Technician to support a robotics-focused client by creating precise floor layouts in AutoCAD, ensuring correct alignment and compliance across design phases. You will interpret building shell information, resolve interference, and generate deployment documents, collaborating with engineers to meet project specifications in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on AutoCAD experience with layered drawing management.
• MS Excel proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and cell-based calculations.
• C++ programming experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred).
• At least 1 year of drawing experience in warehouse or fulfillment center settings.
• Basic understanding of material handling and storage systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed robotic floor layouts in AutoCAD across design phases.
• Ensure accurate placement of components, grid alignment, and resolve interference issues.
• Interpret building shell information and external references to produce drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to support project needs.
• Generate deployment documents aligned with project specifications and standards.
