Qualifications

Responsibilities

Join a fast-paced team supporting the design and deployment of robotics floor layouts for a global fulfillment network. This hybrid CAD Technician role offers the opportunity to create precise AutoCAD drawings, support material handling solutions, and collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality standardized design packages.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed floor layouts in AutoCAD across concept, firm, and deployment phases
• Ensure accurate cell grid alignment, spacing, and layout precision for robotic systems
• Review building shell composites and external references to support drawing development
• Identify and account for physical constraints such as columns, HVAC, expansion joints, and fire shutters
• Produce deployment deliverables and standardized drawing sets for robotics fulfillment centers
• Follow design checklists and naming conventions to support consistency and quality
• Use internal mapping tools to update and manage facility layouts
• Communicate with engineers and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support project needs

Skills

• At least 2 years of AutoCAD experience with strong layer management skills
• At least 2 years of operating experience using AutoCAD in a technical drawing environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and cell-by-cell calculations
• Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Strong self-management skills and the ability to work with minimal direction
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and working from external references
• Comfort working in a collaborative environment and communicating clearly with cross-functional partners
• Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems

Preferred Skills

• 1 year or more of experience drawing layouts for warehouses or fulfillment centers
• Experience with process flow design in an operations or industrial environment
• Engineering background, especially in industrial or mechanical disciplines
• Programming experience in C++
