Job summary

Onward Search is seeking a CAD Technician to support a robotics deployment team in Massachusetts. You’ll create precise floor layouts in AutoCAD, ensure proper alignment, and produce deployment deliverables for a fast-paced fulfillment center project.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of AutoCAD experience with layered drawing management, strong Excel skills, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering. C++ experience is a plus, and collaboration with engineers is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Industrial or Mechanical.
Minimum 2 years AutoCAD with layered drawing management.
Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and cell-based calculations.
C++ programming experience is preferred.
At least 1 year of drawing experience in warehouse settings.
Basic understanding of material handling and storage systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robotic floor layouts in AutoCAD across design phases.
Ensure accurate placement, grid alignment, and resolution of interference.
Interpret building shell info and external references for standardized drawings.
Collaborate with engineers and team members to support project needs.
Generate deployment documents aligned with project specs and standards.
