Job summary

Ocado Intelligent Automation in Los Angeles seeks a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot and resolve robotic system issues on-site. You will work with product support, hardware and software teams, using wiring diagrams and device logs to diagnose problems and ensure uptime.

The role requires up to 1 year of tech experience, a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferred, and proficiency with Freshdesk and Jira for ticketing and updates.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting complex issues in a technical environment.
• Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Computer Hardware/Software preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, networks and robotics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Proficiency with Freshdesk and Jira ticketing systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve complex issues escalated by Product Support Specialists.
• Follow escalation matrix for unresolved issues to hardware and software teams.
• Utilize wiring diagrams/schematics to troubleshoot issues.
• Diagnose issues with robotic machines, including Fanuc Arms and network hardware.
• Read and interpret device logs to identify and resolve problems.
• Review SOPs and implement changes for remote monitoring systems on robots.
• Manage onsite inventory and perform audits of spare parts.
• Create and update the ticketing tool daily.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on robotic systems.
• Travel to sites to provide on-site support.
• Serve as primary on-site contact for customers with strong service.
