Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• Must be currently enrolled in a college or university during the Co-op program.
• Must be currently pursuing an Engineering Degree with sophomore standing or higher.
• Have at least one year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook).
• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Have prior experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
• Have at least one year of leadership experience or leading teams.
• Have at least one year of work experience in manufacturing, distribution, operations or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function.
• Have prior internship or Co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division.
• Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, programming, integration, and optimization of robotic and automated manufacturing systems, including robots, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, vision systems, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime and improve system performance, reliability, and safety.
• Assist with automation projects, equipment startups, commissioning activities, production launches, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Develop, maintain, and utilize technical documentation, including electrical schematics, control system drawings, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and operations teams to implement automation solutions and support production objectives.
• Promote and adhere to industrial safety standards, safe work practices, and established procedures while working with automated equipment and manufacturing systems
