Job summary

CTDI is seeking an early-career engineer to design, integrate, and optimize automated robotic systems used in production and test environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy robotic solutions, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability and throughput.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with industrial robots, PLCs, sensors, and CAD tools, in a safety-conscious lab and production setting, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience with robotic or automated systems.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotic arms or automation equipment.
• Basic experience with PLCs, industrial controls, or automation software.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Exposure to sensors, actuators, vision systems, or embedded hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify mechanical components using CAD to support robotic systems.
• Assist with integration and deployment of robotic solutions (arms, sensors, PLCs).
• Develop and debug PLC and PC-based control code.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors on integration efforts.
• Document designs, procedures, test results, and system changes.
• Work in office and lab/warehouse environments following safety standards.
