Job summary

Nexr is partnering with a robotics company in Los Angeles looking for an Electrical Engineer to develop the electronics behind its robotic systems. This hands-on role covers circuit design, PCB development, bring-up and testing, working closely with embedded software and mechanical engineers to turn designs into reliable, integrated hardware.

You will design PCBs, create schematics, develop power distribution for sensors and actuators, perform board bring-up and testing, and collaborate on

Qualifications

• Experience designing and testing electronics for physical products.
• Strong grounding in analog and digital circuits.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium.
• Confidence using oscilloscopes, multimeters and logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers and interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C and UART.
• Robotics, motor control, power electronics or battery-powered product experience would be valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCBs for robotic control, sensing and communications.
• Create schematics, select components and support PCB layout.
• Develop power distribution and interfaces for sensors and actuators.
• Carry out board bring-up, bench testing and fault finding.
• Work with embedded engineers to integrate and validate hardware.
• Support design revisions, documentation and the transition into production.
