Qualifications

• Evidence of independently owning a complex electrical subsystem, including PCB design and bring-up through integration.
• Strong practical analog and digital fundamentals, power electronics, and signal integrity.
• Experience wiring sensors/actuators to microcontrollers or embedded compute.
• Ability to reason about grounding, noise, protection, thermal limits, and failure modes.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs and document designs and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical requirements, architecture, interface contracts, and validation plans for robot subsystems.
• Design schematics and PCB layouts; select components and manage prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and revisions.
• Design power distribution, grounding, protection, connectors, and harnesses for motors and sensors.
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and motor controllers with embedded interfaces and bring-up firmware.
• Use bench measurements to isolate faults and validate electrical behavior on the robot.
• Deliver design files, BOMs, harness docs, firmware interfaces, and acceptance tests; improve reliability after handoff.
