Job summary

The Welder Equipment Repair role at Stellantis is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, layout, installation, diagnostics and repair of welding and robotic equipment in our Warren, MI manufacturing facility.

The role requires strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical circuits, PLCs and HMIs, with hands-on experience in robot programming and device networks. Local travel is minimal; relocation not provided.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Apprenticeship Certificate or 8 years of equivalent Welder Equipment Repair experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment and reading blueprints.
  • Controls troubleshooting to locate and diagnose trouble in welding systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on welding and robotic equipment.
  • Layout, installation, diagnostics and repair of welding and robotic equipment.
  • Support operations using pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical designs, PLCs and HMIs.
  • Set up, test and maintain welding machines, jigs and material handling devices.
