Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID seeks a fellowship-trained Surgical Oncologist/Hepato-Biliary surgeon to join a 600+ provider multispecialty group. The role offers a mix of MIS-focused cancer surgery and complex benign cases with a 1:6 call schedule.

Expect clinic, procedures and consults with state-of-the-art robotics. Idaho licensure and hospital privileges will be pursued as needed.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required from an accredited program.
• Complete ACGME/AOA general surgery residency.
• Board certification by ABS or AOBS or within 3 years of employment.
• Surgical oncology or hepatobiliary fellowship completed.
• Experience with open, MIS and robotic techniques across hepatobiliary, pancreatic, esophageal, gastric, adrenal and colorectal cancers.
• Ability to perform basic and complex general surgical procedures.
• Collaborative leadership style with oncology and surgical teams.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 50-75% surgical oncology and 25-50% complex benign general surgery.
• Emphasis on minimally invasive surgery, robotics and advanced therapeutic endoscopy.
• Clinic, procedures, and consults with a minimum patient contact time.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary oncology program and maintain accreditation.
