Zekelman Industries is seeking a Plant Operator to set up and run high-speed equipment with robotic elements to form or cut steel to spec. The 1st shift runs 8:30am–7:00pm, with pay at $24/hour.

You will document production and support continuous improvement initiatives for safe, efficient manufacturing. Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, inspecting materials for quality, and maintaining tool readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English and maintain production records.
• Manufacturing or related industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math including decimals and fractions.
• Experience with measuring devices such as tape measure, micrometers, and calipers.
• Ability to operate forklift, crane and equipment for job completion.
• Detail oriented with ability to work independently.
• Regular, full-time onsite attendance is essential.
• Lead and promote health and safety practices as required.

Responsabilités

• Observe safety and LOTO rules while operating equipment.
• Advanced set up and calibration of all equipment.
• Inspect materials for quality before, during, and after running.
• Record and report deficiencies to supervisor/quality dept.
• Maintain equipment tooling and tools for job completion.
• Diagnose equipment and quality problems; minimize scrap and delays.
• Perform housekeeping to keep areas clean and safe.
• Complete production, changeover, and scrap reports.
• Assist maintenance in repairs and PM of equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
