Job summary

Foundry Robotics is hiring a Strategic Project Lead in San Francisco to translate model-team requirements into production data. You’ll define what to capture, how it lands, and whether it is usable, from early specs to pre-delivery validation.

You’ll stand up a data-collection program and drive rapid build-test-learn cycles to deliver a scalable dataset. You will be the interface with the model team and frontier labs, owning hours captured, hours delivered, and hours usable, while partnering

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as a strong PM or TPM with exposure to hardware, data pipelines, or physical workflows.
• Proven ability to build data collection or technical operations programs from the ground up.
• Comfortable owning task specs, QA programs, and standardization.

Responsibilities

• Manage the rig fleet end-to-end (UMI grippers, GoPros, VR headsets).
• Calibrate rigs and detect drift using GoPro intrinsics and VR calibration.
• Define success criteria with the model team and translate data needs into rules.
• Author SOPs and hand to Operations Manager for floor execution.
• Own new task ramp-up including design, SOP, and quality gate.
• Curate 20–50 reference demos per task and maintain against drift.
• Run post-capture QA and pre-delivery validation against model spec.
• Track diversity and coverage across task variants, lighting, and operator styles.
• Run daily capture logs and weekly dataset reporting to stakeholders.
• Own task spec versioning and data-v1/v2 marking when specs change.
• Maintain 48-hour handoff SLA including metadata completeness.
• Perform RCA when batches are rejected and close the loop with the floor.
• Define and report program OKRs for usable hours, mix accuracy, SLA.
• Own data governance and compliance for auditability and retention policies.
