Job summary

ProVision is seeking a Head of the Data Engine to lead data strategy and execution for our robotics data initiatives in the San Francisco area. You will oversee scalable pipelines, benchmarks, and metrics that define data quality across diverse environments and modalities.

You will manage a team of programmatic and human annotators, collaborate with hardware and operations, and architect end-to-end systems that optimize throughput, quality, and cost while advancing the frontier of physical AI.

Qualifications

• A passion for data and interest in data distributions in the wild.
• A vision of how robotics data modalities and distributions will evolve with industry progress.
• Intuitive understanding of what constitutes good data.

Responsibilities

• Structure an efficient data pipeline with the right distribution of environments, manipulation tasks, and diversity.
• Collaborate with the hardware team to design in-house, vertically integrated hardware that satisfies data needs.
• Own both human and automated components of the quality control and annotation pipelines, including scaling talent.
• Develop models for quality assurance, annotation, 3D pose reconstruction, SLAM, and related components.
• Construct an end-to-end pipeline that optimizes throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
