Job summary

Miso Robotics is seeking a Robotics Controls Engineer to design, develop, and improve motion-control systems behind the Flippy robot arm. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, perception, and software engineers to translate R&D into production-ready systems.

You'll handle trajectory planning, sensor feedback, and real-time performance, deploying on real hardware in Pasadena. This role is ideal for an engineer eager to grow across controls and deployment in a startup robotics

Qualifications

• BS in robotics or control systems or equivalent.
• 2+ years hands-on robotics or motion-control experience.
• Strong C++ and Python programming skills.
• Experience with ROS/ROS 2 and robotics middleware.
• Experience with real-time control and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve motion behaviors for a 6-DOF robotic arm and end-effector control.
• Implement trajectory generation and motion planning.
• Tune PID/impedance/force-control loops for accuracy and performance.
• Integrate perception and sensor feedback for closed-loop control.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, perception, AI/ML, and software engineers.
