Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories seeks a Robotics/Automation Engineering Technician I to join our Manufacturing Division in Post Falls, Idaho. The role blends hands-on design, problem-solving, and direct collaboration with customers to implement mechanical and robotic solutions on the production floor.

You’ll contribute to safe, reliable, and economical production improvements, with CAD tasks, programming, assembly, and tool development, plus design reviews to ensure quality and timely

Qualifications

2-year+ technical degree or equivalent training/experience.
Competence with applied physics, geometry, algebra, and basic trigonometry.
Competence with industrial automation fundamentals: controls, sensors, safety, programming & networks.

Responsibilities

Hands-on design work, problem-solving, and direct collaboration with customers.
Assist in developing mechanical solutions for safer, more reliable, and economical production.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback in a small agile team to deliver on time and within budget.
Programming, hands-on assembly, and CAD tasks on the production floor to validate designs.
