Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. seeks a Robotics/Automation Engineering Technician for our Manufacturing Division in Post Falls, Idaho.

You will help develop mechanical and robotic solutions to make production safer, faster, and more economical, working on the shop floor with CAD, vision tools, and end-of-arm tooling. You’ll collaborate in a small agile team on problem statements, solution integration, and project delivery while growing your skills and supporting production staff.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Strong grounding in applied physics, geometry, algebra and basic trig.
• Industrial automation fundamentals: controls, sensors, safety, networks.
• 2+ years in automation integration, manufacturing engineering or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical solutions for production environments to improve safety, reliability and cost.
• Design, assemble and test robotic solutions on the shop floor; iterate with feedback.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide hands-on programming, CAD work and fixtures to support production staff.
