Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an experienced Robotics & Automation Project Manager to lead manufacturing automation deployments across multiple U.S. sites, including Puerto Rico.

This role focuses on evaluating automation opportunities, managing system integrators, and overseeing projects from assessment through startup. You will align operational requirements with project scope, budgets, and timelines while ensuring safety, scalability and maintainability of solutions across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying robotics and automation in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to assess existing processes and determine integration feasibility.
• Experience managing systems integrators and equipment suppliers.
• Ability to translate requirements into project scope, business cases and success criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead robotics and automation projects across multiple sites, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and implementation.
• Assess existing processes, infrastructure, material flow, and brownfield constraints.
• Translate requirements into project scope, user requirements, and measurable criteria.
• Evaluate automation solutions for feasibility, safety, maintainability, scalability, and variability.
• Manage system integrators, suppliers, and external partners.
• Review proposals, concepts, risk assessments, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate proof-of-concept projects and evaluate results for deployment decisions.
• Provide startup support and document activities across sites.
