Job summary

Orion Group seeks an experienced Robotics & Automation Project Manager (PM II) to drive industrial automation deployments across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites and Puerto Rico.

This contract role collaborates with the Robotics Director, site engineering, manufacturing operations, and external integrators to identify opportunities, assess feasibility, develop business cases, and lead projects from assessment through startup.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading industrial robotics deployments in brownfield environments.
• Strong PM skills coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and sites.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical scopes, plans, and specs.
• Willingness to travel across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end robotics and automation projects from assessment to startup.
• Oversee scope, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and communications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, operations, safety, and quality.
• Define technical specs, integration plans, and success criteria.
• Coordinate with system integrators and vendors; monitor performance.
• Prepare documentation, risk assessments, and implementation handoffs.
