Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Automation Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in Auburn Hills, MI. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain automated material handling and robotics systems, including ASRS cranes, AMRs, and conveyors, applying electrical, mechanical, and controls expertise for reliable high-throughput operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automated material handling systems preferred.
• Familiarity with ASRS, AMRs/AGVs, or similar automation equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated systems and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control issues on material handling equipment.
• Read technical diagrams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Track maintenance inventory and document work in CMMS.
• Support operations with flexible scheduling as needed.
