Job summary

eTeam in the United States is seeking a Robotics Automation Engineer (Research and Early Development) to prototype and integrate motion control and robotics systems, leveraging machine vision for calibration.

You will work within an agile research engineering team, conduct simulations and tests, and iterate designs based on feedback to meet project objectives. Prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related discipline with 8+ years experience, or MS with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.
• Expert knowledge of robotic/mechatronic engineering, motion control, sensing and coordinate systems.
• Hands-on experience with robotics and automation systems.
• Experience with machine vision for calibration and robot guidance.
• Experience with CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with robot software ABB RobotStudio.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (Profibus, EtherCAT, Profinet, RS-485).

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced engineering knowledge to research projects related to process automation and integration.
• Designs, builds and tests prototype hardware and software systems to achieve goals.
• Iterates designs based on feedback and testing results.
• Participates in cross-functional agile technical teams and project planning.
• Delivers presentations of project results to diverse audiences.
