Cindavi in Warren, Michigan seeks an Automation & Robotics Specialist to bring partially developed systems to full plant readiness, optimize performance, and hand off to production support teams. The role focuses on automated manufacturing equipment across Ford and RAM operations.

You will launch and stabilize equipment, program PLCs/HMIs/robots, and drive improvements in cycle time, uptime, and quality while collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and suppliers to ensure a reliable handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong ladder-logic programming and controls fundamentals.
• Hands-on industrial robotics programming, integration, optimization, or troubleshooting experience.
• Balanced PLC/HMI and robotics capabilities.
• 3–4 years automation experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience in automotive/high-volume manufacturing like stamping/metals.

Responsibilities

• Launch, integrate, commission, and stabilize automated manufacturing equipment.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial robots, vision systems, conveyance, motion, safety systems, and torque tools.
• Improve cycle time, throughput, quality, uptime, robot paths, sequencing, alarms, interlocks, and recovery routines.
• Apply structured root-cause analysis to eliminate repeat failures and deliver sustainable corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, production, suppliers, and integrators, then train sustainment teams and complete a reliable handoff.
