Job summary

Magna Exteriors seeks an experienced robotics engineer to design, maintain and optimize assembly robotics and related equipment. You will lead new program launches, implement error-proofing, and train staff on ABB/Fanuc robots and PLC/HMI systems.

The role requires a engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel for offsite support and commissioning. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities for Lean and process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering science or related technical field, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Strong robotic programming and commissioning experience in manufacturing.
Proficient with ABB/Fanuc robots, PLCs, and HMI systems.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and improve all assembly robotic equipment for safe, efficient operation.
Lead secondary equipment phases for new program launches and uptime improvement.
Implement error-proofing systems and investigate quality issues with corrective actions.
Provide training on robotics and assembly technology to department staff.
Support preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and offsite program launches.
