Job summary

Agility Robotics is seeking an Applications Mechanical Engineer/Designer to turn customer use cases into physical CAD models and BOMs. You will deploy designs in test cells and possibly at customer sites, resolving fit issues and supporting installation.

This hands-on role requires creativity across cell layouts and tooling, with travel up to 20%. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in mechanical design and proficiency with SolidWorks or Creo, plus experience integrating scanners, sensors, and

Qualifications

5+ years in mechanical design, applications engineering, or a designer/drafter role with increasing responsibility.
Proficiency producing detailed drawings and BOMs in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
Practical experience integrating off-the-shelf hardware components into mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

Design customer workcell layouts — robot placement, material flow, operator access, safety zones, and integration with existing customer infrastructure.
Design and detail custom fixtures, carts, jigs, staging equipment, and material handling interfaces specific to each deployment.
Test and integrate off-the-shelf hardware components into deployment configurations.
Produce production-quality CAD models, detailed drawings, and BOMs suitable for fabrication, procurement, and field assembly.
