Job summary

The Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking exceptional teaching faculty for two open positions—one focused on robotics and one on AI, with strong consideration for candidates in other CS areas. These are full-time roles with teaching and service expectations.

Initial appointments are at Lecturer level, with potential movement to Senior Lecturer ranks.

Qualifications

• PhD required in Computer Science or closely related field.
• Proven track record of teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in computer science or related fields.
• Experience with ROS is required for the robotics position, preferred in simulation and on real robots.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to five courses per year at undergraduate or graduate level.
• Collaborate with other faculty to develop and refine curricula.
• Engage in service obligations and contribute to the department and college community.
