Job summary

Salem State University’s Department of Computer Science invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at open rank starting Fall 2027. We welcome candidates with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotics.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate CS/IT courses, contribute to scholarly development, and engage in service to the department and university while fostering inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or related field; ABD with master's accepted; conferral by May 2027.
• Experience teaching undergraduate CS/IT courses.
• Innovative approaches to teaching one or more of AI, ML, robotics.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate CS/IT courses across levels.
• Advise students and contribute to scholarly activity.
• Participate in department and university service.
