Job summary

Field AI is seeking a Robotics AI Engineer to advance sensor calibration for autonomous robots. You will join the CLAM team, developing production-grade calibration pipelines across camera, LiDAR, and IMU modalities.

This role focuses on intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal calibration to enable reliable perception in real-world settings. You will implement scalable software, optimize large-scale sensor data processing, and contribute to downstream localization and autonomy systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of work experience as a robotics software engineer with expertise in robotics, computer vision and sensor calibration.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python with maintainable, efficient code.
• Solid background in 3D geometry and computer vision.
• Familiarity with sensor calibration techniques (e.g., camera intrinsic calibration, LiDAR-Camera calibration).

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine sensor calibration workflows for LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs including intrinsic, extrinsic, and temporal calibration.
• Design scalable systems to process large sensor datasets for calibration tasks.
• Implement and optimize calibration algorithms in C++ and Python.
• Explore emerging technologies to enhance calibration workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet documentation and deliverables.
