Smith+NEPhew is seeking a Robotics Engineer to advance the CORI robotic surgery platform by designing and deploying AI-powered capabilities that improve patient outcomes and engineering productivity. The candidate will implement AI tools, contribute to software architecture, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, quality, and regulatory requirements while collaborating
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Bachelor's with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++ with production-quality software experience.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, machine learning, LLMs, AI agents, or related technologies.
- Knowledge of SDLC processes, Agile methodologies, and modern software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered features for the CORI robotic surgery platform.
- Apply ML, Generative AI, CV, and data-driven techniques to enhance functionality and UX.
- Develop services, APIs, and workflows that integrate AI into products and engineering applications.
- Support prototyping, evaluation, deployment, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.
- Implement and support AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitLab Duo, Copilot.
