Job summary

Clow is seeking a Robotic Welding Operator in Minnesota to operate robotic welding equipment and produce high-quality metal components for leading manufacturers.

You’ll gain hands-on training, work with advanced welding technology, and support fixture changes while progressing through shift-based schedules. The role requires 6–12 months welding experience and basic math, blueprint reading, and NAV computer skills.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of welding experience required.
• Basic math skills for inspections and part quantities.
• Computer proficiency for job sign-in/out and NAV navigation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Ability to use measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators).
• Basic mechanical ability for fixture setup and tear outs.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welding equipment to weld metal components per production specs.
• Load and unload parts from welding fixtures and machines.
• Monitor welding operations for quality and efficiency.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections with measuring tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Record production activity and progress in the shop floor system.
• Assist with basic machine setups and changeovers as trained.

This is a great opportunity for someone with basic welding knowledge, mechanical aptitude, or an interest in learning a skilled trade. You\'ll receive training while operating robotic welding equipment, producing quality metal components used by leading manufacturers.

Shifts Available:

• Shift 15: 5:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Thursday
• Shift 16: 3:00pm – 1:00am, Monday – Thursday (+$1.25/hour shift differential)

Starting Rate of Pay:

• $19.80 per hour base. Relevant experience may increase starting wage up to $20.80 per hour.

What You\'ll Do

• Operate robotic welding equipment to weld metal components according to production specifications.
• Load and unload parts and materials from welding fixtures and machines.
• Monitor welding operations to ensure consistent quality and production efficiency.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or production delays.
• Record production activity and job progress using the company\'s shop floor system.
• Assist with basic machine setups, fixture changes, and production changeovers as trained.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 100lbs occasionally
• Bend, reach, and handle parts throughout the shift
• Use hands for press brake operation, tooling setup, and measurement tasks
• Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
