Job summary

Wisconsin Stamping & Manufacturing in Germantown, WI is seeking a Robotic Welding Cell Set-up/Operator for 1st or 2nd shift to run and set up a Panasonic TA MIG welding robot in a fabrication shop. You will read shop orders and drawings to prepare and weld parts to the required specifications, including fixture setup and material staging.

• Experience running a Panasonic TA series MIG welding robot.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and/or robotic welding equipment.
• Read shop orders and engineering drawings to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions.
• Safely apply welds per specifications to produce completed product.
• Produce assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces into fixtures.
• Measure dimensions of metal work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, templates, rulers, etc.
• Perform quality checks as prescribed and report issues to lead and/or supervisor.
• Accurately document and maintain information in written or electronic form.
• Safely complete finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc.
• Perform operator preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems, welders or components.
• Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety and quality.
• Modify computer-controlled robot movements.
• Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.
• Ability to work independently.
