Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking an experienced Robotic Automation & Weld Programmer for a direct-hire role in the Duluth, MN / Superior, WI region. You will lead offline CAD-to-path simulations, program multi-axis Yaskawa/Motoman cells, and perform heavy-gauge MIG welds on a state-of-the-art robotics floor.

The role offers 1st–3rd shift options with a baseline pay up to $35/hr, plus shift differentials and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years robotic welding depth: setup, operation, and programming of weld cells.
• Offline programming fluency with Robotmaster, MotoSim, or CAD-to-path tools.
• Heavy structural MIG welding capability with blueprint literacy and weld symbols.
• Fixture & tooling literacy: assess geometry, fixtures, and weld sequences.
• Employment stability with multi-year tenure and good attendance.
• Location eligibility: commuting distance to Duluth, MN / Superior, WI area; US citizen or green card.

Responsibilities

• Execute offline CAD-to-path simulations using Robotmaster or MotoSim for complex weldments.
• Optimize welding parameters for full-penetration welds and cycle efficiency.
• Troubleshoot robot motion faults and sensor/errors on the cell floor.
• Verify weld quality and AWS compliance against blueprints and tolerances.
• Train and mentor cell operators on fixture setup and pendant operations.
• Maintain robotic welding equipment and consumables.
