Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking an experienced Robotic Automation & Weld Programmer for Duluth, MN / Superior, WI. Role focuses on offline CAD-to-path programming, multi-axis Yaskawa/Motoman welding, and cell troubleshooting with a strong emphasis on quality and AWS compliance.

You will work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts in a state-of-the-art robotics facility, contributing to high-stress fabrications and long-term stability within a global manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

• 3+ years robotic welding depth and experience setting up and programming robotic weld cells (Yaskawa/Motoman YRC1000 highly valued).
• Offline CAD-to-path simulation proficiency using Robotmaster, MotoSim, or equivalent software.
• Heavy structural MIG welding with blueprint literacy and ability to interpret weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• Execute offline CAD-to-path simulation to develop and prove programs for complex weldments.
• Optimize welding parameters including travel speeds, torch angles, wire feed, and welds for full penetration.
• Troubleshoot cell automation and resolve robot motion faults and sensor issues.
• Verify weld quality and AWS compliance against blueprints and tolerances.
• Train and mentor cell operators on fixture loading and setup procedures.
• Maintain robotic welding equipment and consumables, ensuring uptime.
