Valmont Industries, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Welding Technician/Lead to support robotic welding, improve welding fixtures, and enable safe, efficient production. You will work with supervisors, engineers, and QA to drive continuous improvements and train team members.

The role requires an associate degree in welding and 6+ years of welding or robotic welding experience, along with PLC/robot programming and MRP system knowledge. Forklift/straddle truck operation may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in welding or related field and 6+ years of welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and process sheets.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong robotic programming knowledge.
• Knowledge of QAD or other MRP systems.
• Able to operate forklift and straddle truck after training.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard hand-welding processes on production lines.
• Run and edit robotic welding programs and fixtures.
• Provide troubleshooting for welding cells and fixtures.
• Train and mentor welders and operators.
• Inspect processes and parts; identify abnormalities.
• Assist in updating work instructions and processes.
• Support continuous improvement and lean projects.
