For over 60 years, Atlantic Track has put our people first to foster strong teams, products, and services that are second to none.We’re currently seeking a Robot Welder Operator I to join our growing team of professionals in Richmond, Illinois.This position will support our second shift, which operates Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 1:30am.Training for this position would occur on first shift, which operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.Roles and Responsibilities:Reads and interprets work instructions, blueprints, and reference documentsObtains and maintains American Welding Society (AWS) welding certificationCritically examines how various mechanical and/or structural parts fit togetherMoves material by hand between inventory locations and robot welding stationMay be required to pull parts and/or material from stockPerforms MIG weldingAssists other employees, works collaboratively to accomplish goalsAlerts/advises supervisors or engineers when issues ariseMaintains a safety and quality focused mindsetPerform daily preventive maintenance checkFinds correct programs for specific product lines and create / edit programs as circumstances requireMakes suggestions and improves processes or quality of assembly projects at handMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.)Minimum of 1 year of industrial welding experienceSafety Awareness – the ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), ensure tools are in good working order, and take action if coworkers in work area are at risk or causing riskMust be able to complete internal forklift training and certificationMust be able to complete AWS Weld CertificationAbility to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 lbs.Ability to work on-site in Richmond, IllinoisAbility to work second shift hours (Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm - 1:30am)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in heavy structural assembly workWillingness to adapt and learnA self-starter who takes initiativeAtlantic Track offers a holistic benefits package, including competitive pay, 401k plan with company matching funds, health / dental / vision insurance options, life insurance, paid time off, an employee shared ownership plan, and more.
