Job summary

Standard Iron in Alexandria, MN seeks an entry-level Robotic Welder to operate and monitor robotic welding systems. The role may suit a robotically trained welder or a robotic programmer with welding capabilities, with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding training/certification preferred.
• Experience with robotic welding systems in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).
• Basic troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor robotic welding systems.
• Program and adjust robotic welding equipment to meet production specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance to standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot robotic welding systems.
• Balance welding operations for maximum efficiency using offline programming.
